| Here is the story of how he finally came. So after a weekend of mowing the lawn, walking in a 5k, cleaning the carpets and my entire house about a million times and walking another 3 miles the day before, eating lots of pineapple, and jalapenos which i do not like, Tuesday afternoon I finally went into labor which I was glad to come on my own since my induction date was set for two days later. So Tyler and my sister Kelsie had come for lunch at 12:30 and I was having lots of contractions but I just thought they were braxton hicks so I didn't think anything of it so I decided I would take Kate to the library. Well while we were at the library the contractions started getting more painful so I started timing them and they were about 5 min apart. So instead of going shopping after I thought it would be best to go home. So we got home around 3 and Kate and I just read books on the porch till it was too hard to breath and talk while I had contractions. So I called my mom just to make sure she was close to home just in case we needed her and then I sent Tyler a text saying not to go on any deliveries. Well after getting my text he came home and told me to call the nurse so I did and she told me to come right in. So my mom met us at the hospital and picked up Kate. The nurse checked me at 5:15 pm and I was only dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced so she said she would check again in an hour and then talk with the on call dr. of course cause my babies like to come after hours. So they checked me again at 6:15 and i was still only at a 3 but thinning more so they decided to keep me. So they were going to have the on call dr., Dr. Thackeray come in at 8pm and check again and break my water. So they moved me up to a labor and delivery room and I wanted to go natural so I took a bath hoping that would relieve some pain but it just kept getting worse. when I got out of the bath I felt like I was dehydrated and going to pass out, every time I had a contraction I wanted to throw up, so I told Tyler to get a nurse and tell them I wanted the epidural NOW!!! By this point I was screaming and crying and think I even yelled at the Anesthesiologist cause he wasn't fast enough. Well right after he put the epidural in before it had even kicked in cause he said it would take ten minutes, I pushed really hard and my water broke, and I told the nurse I was ready to push so she checked me and I was at a 10 and ready this was at 7:45pm, but there was no doctor there to deliver my dr. was 45 min away and the on call doctor was 10 min away so they made me breath through every contraction and not push which is impossible but I did my best finally when the dr arrived the epidural had just kicked in, the dr had to try and turn his head because he was posterior and that was so painful and I pushed maybe ten minutes and he was out. They did have to use the vacumn twice to pull him out and I only tore a little bit. All in all I was very happy to have him out and it was a lot easier this time then Kate. |

Tyler is such a great dad and loves Conner so much.
Kate was asleep the night I had him and didn't realize what was really going on so the next day she was loving him so much, just not the fact that I couldn't go home with her at night, every night her eyes would wail up with tears it made me cry so I had to talk with her the whole way home to calm her down.

| Tyler likes to pretend he is the patient, so the second I get out of bed he always jumps in, in my place. Atleast he's watching both kids. |
 |
| My mom was so great and came over to help me and cook for me the next two days when I got home from the hospital, Kate loved having her around to draw with chalk on the tramp and play with so I could rest with the baby. |
 |
| Kate loves holding Conner when she is around know one else gets a chance to hold him, she will always check on him if he's in the play pen. She defiantly gives him enough hugs and kisses. |

| I love these two kids so much its been such a blessing having Conner in our lives, he is such a beautiful kid and so healthy. He has been such a good baby only cries when he gets his diaper changed and when he's starving other then that he's so mellow and sleeps the rest of the time. Kate has been such a big helper and would do anything for him. Every morning she'll wake up and the first thing she says is I want to hold baby so she will watch baby while I get ready and supervise a little. Tyler hasn't had too much time to spend with him since he had to go back to work the day I got home but at nights they get to hang out while I put Kate to sleep. I can't believe he is already over a week old time has flown by and I just want to be able to capture every moment. I was telling Tyler how fast time was going and he did mention since Conner came at 38 weeks and 5 days that I had almost two weeks more with him then I did with Kate and that made me feel a little better but its still crazy to think I'm not even due till tomorrow. Well sorry for the long post but I feel like if I don't write everything down I will forget it all. |
