This year since it hadn't really snowed at all when I heard we were having a huge snowstorm and the mountains were going to get a lot I asked my mom to take us up to my grandpas cabin for the weekend so we went up and Brighton was lighting off fireworks that night so it was perfect. We headed up and since it was all fresh powder we had to dig our way into the cabin then we headed off onto the slopes. Ashley and Tim came up so Tim could teach me how to snowboard better and help me out with my new snowboard Tyler got me for Christmas. It was such a great day but I was so sore because Tyler took us through the powder our first run and it had been two years since I had been snowboarding. That night Kelsie and her fiance Jake came up with his brother and slept over so we could all go together in the morning. After we went boarding that morning I promised Kate I would take her sledding and she ran to get all of her snow gear on and we were sledding the rest of the day. Kate even climbed up the hill every time. I took her down once and we started spinning like crazy so I used my feet to stop and it sprayed so much snow in her face and she just laughed, I love that girl. This was such a much needed weekend so I could finally enjoy winter.
