No more thumb sucking
Kate has been an avid thumb sucker since she was 4 months old, I do have to admit it never bothered me because she was very good at self soothing and I never had to worry about a binkie. Tyler and I both knew though that if we didn't try and get her to stop that it would affect her teeth, her thumb was getting sores on it, and be even harder the older she got. So our neighbors daughter used this nail polish for her daughter called Mavala Stop and it worked for her daughter who is Kate's age, so she let us borrow it to try with Kate. I thought Kate wouldn't stop very easily and I was kind of sad to have her not suck her thumb anymore I guess it just meant to me she wasn't my little girl anymore. Well all last week Kate had a cold and could barely breath out of her nose as it was so she was sucking her thumb as often so on Sunday when she started feeling better Tyler put it on both her thumbs and it was really funny the first time she put it in her mouth, she said " That tastes yucky I need to brush my teeth" and then she didn't try the rest of the night and when I was putting her to sleep she tried one more time and cried a little to me and said "mommy my thumb tastes yucky" and all I could say was sorry.
Since then she hasn't even tried, we haven't even had to use the nail polish, it worked well. It was really hard for me that first day though I don't know why but ever since she stopped sucking her thumb she has been way more active and non stop, so I defiantly treasure any cuddling time I get. This picture is her sleeping with no thumb in mouth or even close to her mouth.
