Everyone thinks it is crazy that Tyler and I haven't spent a night away in our 6 years of marriage but it was true until now. My uncle Sam decided he wanted to start a greenhouse down south and Tyler and his dad decided to go down and help him. Well Kate had school and dance all week and I had stuff to do for Young Women's and I knew there wasn't much I could do to help at the ranch especially for a whole week if all they would be doing was building so I decided I would head down for the weekend with Tyler's mom and take a little vacation sort of. So as you can tell with the picture above my kids knew Tyler was gone because they both decided they wanted to take over his side of the bed it was cute though instead of cuddling up to me they cuddled up to each other.
Tyler left sunday night and Monday night I had nothing planned so Karen and I decided to take the kids to City Creek and look at the candy windows at Macey's they were really cool and the kids loved them.
Then we walked across the street to Temple Square and saw the lights. Every time Conner saw a tree he would yell Christmas Tree
With it being so cold outside we went to dinner and got nice warm soup.
I survived four nights all by myself with the kids and it actually went by a lot faster then I thought, Tyler and I were able to face time every night which helped.
The kids were so happy to be down at the ranch the second they got out of the car they ran around like crazy. Conner had to walk and explore every inch before he would calm down.
In the morning Tyler, Sam and I went shooting, we would throw plastic golf balls in the river and shoot at them it was really fun.
Conner had missed his dad, Kate loved helping everyone and taking rides on the four wheeler with Vicki, and playing and all the equipment she made friends with the driver Dallin and she would hang out all day in there with him.
Conner and I spent a lot of time with the horses, that was his favorite part he would feed them
Sargent was the only horse that would run over everytime the kids came by and he would try and hug Kate or just put her head on top of Kate's which looks cute but I think it was too heavy for Kate.
My fearless daughter in the bucket
Conner loved grabbing tools and handing them to daddy, and he would not give them to anyone but Tyler it was so cute
Playing in the bucket truck
The last night we all sat and watched Elf on my Aunt Dede's bed
